From the Doctor: Oral Bacteria, the start of bad things to come? The mouth is the gateway to the body.  Unfortunately, our mouth is also a repository for all kinds of bacterial growth. Each time we eat, we leave some small trace elements of food in the cracks and crevaces between our teeth and gums. I know, yuk.
